Dear Sir / Madam,
My name is Nick Adey and I work for Alchemy TV, an independent production company in London. We are producing a new series for Channel 4 called The Spice Trip. The idea of this series is that nothing tells you more about a country’s customs, history and geography than its food. So our two presenters (chef Stevie Parle, and spice expert Emma Grazette from The Spicery) will travel to spice plantations around the world exploring how spices are grown, harvested, and used in local cuisine. The idea is that the presenters will stay on the farms and plantations and help the workers with the harvest to get first-hand knowledge of how these spices are produced.
It is important to our presenters and to the series, that we visit plantations with ethical working practises – even better if the spices are organic. We would love to film at a cumin farm in the Izmir region of Turkey in July.
I was hoping that you might be able to help me in my search for a suitable Turkish cumin farm. I wonder if you would have any timwe to speak to me tomorrow at all.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Best wishes,
Nick Adey
