Dear Sir or Madam
My Name is Lisa Gerlach and I am working for an exhibition in a museum in
Nordhorn (Germany).
Nordhorn as a small town in the west has been a centre of textile work
especially in the 1960s and 1970s. The company NiNo was present there.
That is why the exhibition is about the local texile industry.
The company had to close their doors in 1996, because of this, they sold
their machines to.
As I have heard your Company Demitex had bought the Machines from the
"Kämmerei", I actually do not know the english word, but as I know it is a
machine to produce really tenuous, wispy yarn.
It would be a great pleasure for our museum if we could show a picture of
exact this machines at their new place - your place. So we could show the
visitors of the exhibition the global network of textile industry.
Now here are the questions:
Are the machines still in your company?
Do you have a picture of them, or one of them? (It is up to you if the
picture shows working people to, or does not)
Or, if not, could you take one?
Are you willing to send this picture to me, so we can present them in the
exhibition?
I know emailing is not the most serious way to ask this, but I would be pretty thankful, if You answer.
If You want to talk about this on the phone, I am available in Berlin 0049 30 80920077 (the phone does not save
numbers,so if you call and I don´t answer, i cannot see the call
afterwards) or at the cellphone 0049***.
Or I´m going to call you, if you send me your number(, including all prenumbers, please) and the best time for a talk for you.
Awaiting to hear from you soon.
Sincerly
Lisa Gerlach
