latest update on Halal certification for import requirements into the UAE: • ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology) is the Federal body of UAE Government responsible to regulate and register the products coming under these regulations. • The standard to get certified against is UAE.S 2055-1 – Halal Food and SGS Gulf Ltd is an accredited Halal Certification Body and we can assist you on your needs! • Deadline for the companies to be Halal certified was July 1st. • The only Halal mark allowed on the imported products that require Halal Certification is the UAE National Halal Mark, No Other Halal Logo is allowed. • Kindly note that as part of the certification, testing for Halal parameters is also required and we can provide this service as well.
