The President of Peru signed two FTA treaties (with Canada and Singapore) May 29, 2008 that, along with the previously-signed FTA with the US, demonstrate the variety of projects that can be undertaken here, as well as the international confidence in the Peruvian economy, with its projected inflation of 4.8 % annually corresponding to 2008.
