Hello Kelvin,
Happy New Year!
From my sister Ilse I received your email addresses and thought I write you a short note as we are travelling to Bangkok on Friday January 10, 2009 to meet our adoption daughter and take her home, back to Holland. My husband Peter and I have been in the adoption procedure for more than 5 years and now finally just before Christmas we got the definite proposal which we accepted. Our daughter is in the Pak Kred Babies Home in the northern part of Bangkok. She was born in March 2005, so just about 4 years old.
We will be staying in Thailand for 2 weeks due to the official board meeting and all the administration and papers which must be completed.
It will be a very exciting and new start of the New Year!! The first while could be very difficult with communications and the poor girl will have such a large change of her life, but we hope she will accept us as parents and we will do our utmost to give her a warm and loving home. In Holland it is freezing cold at the moment, so that also will be quite a change for her.
The first week we must stay in Bangkok and the second week we will book a hotel, probably in Hua Hin.
I understood from Ilse that you live in Chang Mai? We visited Thailand in the year 2006 and also were in Chang Mai and area. Beautiful nature! Probably there will not be a possibility to meet, but I thought should you be somewhere nereby or otherwise maybe just interesting to be in contact. We definitely will visit Thailand again after a few years and maybe then there would be a possibility to meet??
Anyhow wishing you all best for the year 2009 and it would be nice to hear from you.
Regards,
