My Circupool SWG caught fire and burned down the system including the filter and all the nearby PVC plumbing. We contacted DiscountSaltPool, who then referred us to Compupool office in Florida. Betsy Lawrence at the Florida office advised that Nick Millar from Australia would call us the same day. However, no one called us. Three days later, 8/31, I called Compupool Australia and contacted Nick Millar to discuss the accident and provided the quote from our local pool estimate for the repair. Nick agreed to send us a new filter and $500 for the repair work/labor. He also told us that he would send me an email to follow up right away. He did send us a replacement filter, but not the check. We have not heard from Nick since 8/31 although we have tried to call 3 times since unsuccessfully. We would like to have Nick contact us within the next few days. If we don't hear from Compupool by the end of next week, we will have to start filing business complaints with BBB in the US and APCC in Australia. Other users and potential users should also be aware of the Circupool potential hazards and how unresponsive the manufacturer is.
