Dear Sir,
I would like to draw your attention to our extra virgin olive oil "Terre Rosse”, a monocultivar of 100% moraiolo with Dop and Tre-E certification.
Our olive trees are located on the hills of Spello, in the province of Perugia, along the road that leads to the ancient Collepino Castle and near the Vallegloria Monastery.
Reference was made to this monastery in a Papal Bull issued by Pope Alessandro III in the year 1178, where the presence of olive trees up to 1,000 years old was reported.
This is a mystical environment rich in history and heritage, and it served to inspire the colours and landscapes of the artist Pinturicchio.
The olive groves are spread over 35 hectares, at an altitude of 400 to 500 metres above sea level, facing east which provides an increased concentration of sunlight. The land is rich in red stone, ideal for producing an excellent quality olive oil, with a high content of natural antioxidants. Our olives are grown without the use of chemicals, thus maintaining their organoleptic properties over a prolonged period of time.
The olives are rigorously hand picked, then processed within six hours of being gathered and are cold extracted in a centrifugal extractor.
The quality of the Terre Rosse extra virgin olive oil is certified Dop Umbria “Colli Assisi – Spoleto”, Kosher, Tre – E, and is in conversione biologica since September 2008 under the aegis of IMQ, Istituto Marchio qualità.
Thanking you in advance for your time and attention. We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
