I am wondering if you can provide some advice around the usage of the Konia product.
My wife and I wanted to purchase a Konia water filter and wrote to the Australian distributor to make arrangements to visit their facility. It turned out the were no longer in business. However, there were a number of new units being sold on the internet. I guess the last of their stock. So we purchased 1x KA5000SU and 1 x KA5000WG
The units both arrived in their cartons. On unpacking we could see they were brand new but manufactured in 2007. The plastic surround on the SU had gone yellow. Anyway we connected the two units and tuned them on. After 96 hours of continuous running we were able to dispense water. During the next 3 days we drew off 5L of water. But on day 6 the dispenser stopped dispensing. We also noticed the water holder in the bottom half of the SU only had 2 inc of water in it.
Since this time the WG has been let to run 24/7. It sounds like a washing machine.. It appears to be making an average of 4L per day into a bucket
My questions are
Should we expect the WG to run 24/7
Should it sound like a washing machine.
Is 4L a day the expected production
Why is the water holder in the SU not filling
What would stop the hot and cold taps from working.
As the unit is 10 years old should it be regassed? Or serviced and if so what sort of service should be undertaken.
Can we purchase replacement filters from you and if so at what cost I would like to buy the one which puts the minerals back into the water. Is this filter to be added to the other or does it replace one in the system?
Do you have agents in Australia who perform the service and can supply filters? I should mention our filters have the in and outlet on the top of the filters.
We live in Brisbane Queensland where the humidity is currently 74%
Any advice will be appreciated. We have never owned a system and do not know what to expect and the seller is also clueless. I think he bought the last of the agents sock and has been selling them off for a profit

Garry
