Subject: Automatic Voltage Controllers(AVCs) for Grid Voltage Stabilisation.
Dear Sirs,
We are pleased to introduce ourselves as the country’s leading manufacturer & exporter of industrial Automatic Voltage Controllers (AVCs) up to 2500 kVA, Silicon Power Rectifiers (0 – 500V, up to 15000 Amps) & Spl. Purpose Transformers from the last FORTY Years, with 4 manufacturing units at Faridabad, Ludhiana (2 units) & Pathankot. We have installed > 14000 equipments across the industry spectrum, in almost all parts of India and abroad too, which are running successfully from the last many years / decades together. JINDAL’S equipments are reputed for their robust design & trouble-free performance. We command a highly skilled & experienced workforce at our plants and are supported by a wide sales & service network of Engineers / Technicians stationed across the country to deliver prompt & efficient service to our customers.
We would like to inform you that in our AVC & Rectifiers, we use Rolling Contact type Regulators, which are wound with heavy section of copper strip suitable for 100% continuous duty cycle. The economic life of our stabilizers is easily 15 – 20 years. So, you can plan stabilizers as per your running load, keeping in mind your future expansion plans.
VOLTAGE VARIATION:
Voltage variation is a common phenomenon all over the country. Generally voltage is low during daytime and high during the night hours. Moreover on holidays, peak hours, rainy days and when the agricultural load is switched off, the voltage rises quite sharply – which is more dangerous.
Electrical equipments are designed for 230 Volts (single phase) OR 400 Volts (3-phase) and operate with optimum efficiency at its rated voltage. 90% of industrial load consists of motors. Electric Motors draw considerably high current at HIGH voltage and increase energy consumption, increase MDI and reduce power factor etc. These excessive power losses of motors generated at higher voltage results in their premature failure.
Similar is the case with Bulbs and Tubes, when voltage increases above 230 Volts. For example, at 270 Volts, the power consumption of 60W-bulb increases almost 40% and the life of bulb reduce from normal 1000 Hours to mere 100 Hours only (as per analysis report of ISI mark bulb manufacturers).
The industrial units having high failure rate of electrical equipments i.e. Electric Motors (particularly smaller rating motors upto 7.5 HP), Bulbs, Tubes, Chokes, Contactor coils etc., should verify that it may be due to Higher Voltage.
PAY-BACK PERIOD: Owing to its high efficiency (> 99% in avg. running conditions) and associated benefits, the payback period for JINDAL’S make AVC is typically between 6–12 months, depending upon the number of working hours and duration of high voltage.
We have supplied AVCs to various industries throughout India and our clients have confirmed the under noted advantages after installing our AVCs (also separately detailed in the product catalogue & in a separate annexure attached herewith):
1. Up to 60% Reduction in Breakdown of Electrical Equipments
2. 5 – 10% Savings in Electricity Costs
3. Reduction in MDI by 10 – 15%
4. Attractive Pay-back period of 6 – 12 months
5. Improvement in Power Factor
6. Uniform quality of end product & Improved Throughput of the in plant
7. Depreciation 80% from Income Tax
Our AVCs have a unique advantage in terms of achieving savings on lighting load (power saving up to 30% & breakdowns up to 80%). Hotels typically have significant lighting load as part of the total connected load and so tend to gain more.
In this context, please note that it has been observed that bulbs / luminaries tend to consume up to 35% less electricity at 360 / 380V. And you would be delighted to note that the life of the luminaries increases manifold if fed with such voltage continuously. The lumens produced at 360V / 380V are sufficient for a normal human eye. All these claims are based upon several research studies conducted by leading bulb manufacturers and also by our organization in the past. In fact, we have supplied many stabilizers only for lighting load with output at 360 / 380V as part of the energy conservation or cost-saving initiatives of various leading organizations throughout India. We are attaching herewith an annexure which shows the power consumption & life of bulbs, and lumens produced at different voltage levels, which will help you estimate the savings possible by using the AVCs for lighting load.
Hence, if you have a separate panel for your lighting load (i.e. all your A.C. & other motor load etc. is thru a separate panel), you can also install separate LT stabilizer for your lighting load (with variable output between 360/380V to 400V) & another one for your other load (with output at 400V). This will help enhance your savings & ensure a faster pay-back for your investment.
We are also pleased to announce that we have opened our own office in Kolkata to provide more prompt & efficient services to our clients in the Eastern region. you may contact us for any further clarification at under noted address.
