| About us | Our philosophy: My father, juan josé de marchi, has more than twenty years of experience in garlic. He started as a seller of agricultural machinery, and after a long time of relationships with cultivators, he fell in love with this activity: The magic power of making to grow. Then he began to learn about the land, the seeds, and particularly about garlic. We owned 30 hectares of land in 1980 and this season we are growing 300 hectares of our own plus 100 more hectares of other producers, allowing us to obtain a harvest of approximately 13 millions of kilograms of garlic for export. Our location: Our lands are located in the fertile valley of uco, to 1100 meters above the sea level, in the departments of tupungato, tunuyan and san carlos in the most famous zone of valleys and mountains of mendoza. This fertile valley is especially suitable to developing seeds of red garlic, white garlic and chinese seeds, all of them of the highest purity, to obtain a premium quality harvest. Our technology: We combine farming last generation technologies with the most traditional farming methods in the garlic culture. All this, together with the experience, fertilizing installments, the purest water of the mountain and a strict control performed by specialized professionals, allows us to obtain healthy garlic, perfectly apt for the human consumption and without genetic modifications. Our sales: The 95 percent of our production is destined to foreign markets and this is due to all our products are within the quality requirements of the eu(european union). Our garlic is being shipped to different countries such as brazil, haiti, puerto rico and mexico among others and our brand “rio claro” is positioned in the first place of the sales ranking due to its high quality.
