The once abundant supply of nutrients in plants and vegetables has decreased steadily due to environmental changes. These include, for example, low and unpredictable rainfall and occasional torrential rains in some areas that causes soil erosion, especially scalding. Scalds are bare unproductive areas from which the topsoil has been removed. Therefore, the fertility of the soil seems to concentrate on the equator or the bottom of the sea. The smaller the quantity of nutrients the plants and vegetables contain, the smaller the quantity of nutrients the herbivores gain. This in turn has an effect on humans who consume meat, vegetables and fruits. The company have therefore conducted extensive research since 1977. The efforts paid off in 1992 when the companies successfully developed a variety of dietary supplements, plant foods and pet foods. Even so, the research and development has been continually conducted to launch a new nutritional product as well as to improve the quality of the existing products. |
