Corn Van Loocke
About us | After the second world war, the company became more involved in chemical products, in particular wood preservatives based on zinc and coppernaphthenates. A full range of ready to use wood preservatives was being introduced on site. In 1955 a first factory was built, using a 3-ton reactor capable of manufacturing metal soaps mainly used as preservatives for wood treatment and driers for the paint and varnish industry. In 1967 a second factory was built to manufacture alkyd resins under licence in a 6-ton reactor. Other products were added since the late seventies. In 1985 we moved to our existing premises, where we more than doubled our capacity. Since 1992 a 15-ton reactor, together with a pilotplant-reactor, were installed. The installation of a distillation unit gives us the necessary distillation flexibility. From 1990 till october 1999 corn. Van loocke nv was a part of the blagden holding group. In 1999 a management buy-out was succesfully achieved. Our regained independence will create new opportunities for growth and development in the future. Since then we are constantly expanding our production capacity. |
