Danish Forests Trading Co., Ltd.
About us | DSH has delivered wood from the Danish forests since the middle of the 1960es. From the beginning, trading with pulpwood to the Scandinavian paper industry was the central activity. Since then the basis of the firm has been widened and today all wood assortments in both hard- and softwood are included. Lately also lumber has become a part of the business. DSH delivers primarily wood from Danish forests, but in the recent years the activities have been enlarged to include wood from our neighbouring countries - primarily Scandinavia and the Baltic countries. In 2000 the Danish Forest Association decided to separate the trading department from the association as a private company under the name of Danske Skoves Handelskontor A/S (Danish Forests Trading Co., Ltd). The aim is to develop the activities of the firm within the trade of wood and wood products. DSH is fully owned by the Danish Forest Association. By placing the shares in the Danish Forest Association, the company is solidly anchored in the wood sector with a responsible and long-term business strategy as a ground pillar. It is the aim of the company to offer a wide spectrum of products at attractive prices. This can be realised through long-term knowledge of the market and international experience with both suppliers and customers. DSH A/S has 10 employees and has a turnover of some 250.000 m3 wood annually of which around 80 percent is exported. |
