The system was very large and only performed repairs on bulls eye type breaks. Now over 30 years later, the windshield repair industry has made wide strides in development of new equipment and resins. Glassix opened its doors to the consumer and the auto glass industry in 2001. Starting out as a small repair only shop in Wheeling, West Virginia, Glassix grew to a worldwide distributor and manufacture of windshield repair supplies, kits and resins. Founder Robert Haller Jr. has over 15 years experience in the windshield repair industry and his knowledge and expertise has helped many companies in the design and manufacturing of windshield repair resins! Knowing that the need for windshield repair was growing rapidly, Mr. Haller formed Glassix, a company dedicated to promoting windshield repair, to selling quality equipment and manufacturing the highest quality resins. His formulation of the Glassix line of resins, was one of the first acid free resins. Because of the harmful chemicals found in most resins on the market, he developed a resin that not only contained no harmful chemicals, but exceeded standards set by the National Windshield Repair Association in strength and clarity!
