Naange Fouladou
About us | In 1997, Naange Fouladou was born. By teaching women in surrounding villages how to dry mangoes using simple solar dryers, Naange Fouladou started a much-needed industry: A way for villagers(who have no electricity, and most of whom cannot read) to make enough money. Using the standardized and hygienic processing and drying procedures developed by the Institute for Food Technology of Senegal(an agency that has staged similar trainings around the world), the women now dry their mangoes on site and bring the dried mangoes to the city for packaging and transport to markets elsewhere. By buying Naange Fouladou mango jerky(which is 100% all-natural dried mangoes), you make life a little better for workers in the poorest part of the world. |
