About us | Company Profile Get to know Olympus Marketing. Olympus Marketing was first established in May 1985 as a trading company. It initially engaged in the business of distributing unsaturated polyester resin and fiberglass to the stone, shell and handicraft exporters of Cebu. Gradually, it expanded and diversified into distribution of specialized power tools and abrasive products to serve the needs of its fast-growing market. Since its inception, the Company, despite its diversified product lines, had found itself drawn into servicing the expanding needs of the furniture-export industry in Cebu, its base of operation, where the demand for its products had been increasing by leaps and bounds. However, since its vision is not limited to the development of the furniture and handicraft business, it had set its eyes on Manila and parts of Luzon where the Company felt a good number of industrial firms would benefit from its products and services. In 1990, affiliate, Polypower Commercial and Industrial Sales, INC. Was created in Metro Manila to initially cater to the chemical and composite needs of the industrial market in that area. Obviously, this was not enough. The growing demand of the Manila and Luzon markets LED to the putting up of the Company's Manila Branch. Housed in a modest office at Cubao, Quezon City, Olympus Manila was born starting its operations in May 1997. With limited human resources of only two office personnel and one salesman, Olympus Marketing provided service to its Manila and Luzon clientele, but with additional lines coupled with the increasing demands of GMA and Luzon market, an aggressive expansion program became inevitable. Thus, on June 5,1999, Olympus had to move to a better location with a bigger office and spacious warehouse. At present, Olympus Marketing enjoys the distinction of being one of the few companies based in Cebu whose functions are national scope. To serve its customers better, the Company embarked on an ambitious program to improve its operational and marketing systems and professionalize its sales force. In line with its new organizational setup and to determine profitability and accountability, the Cebu branch was functionally separated from its national office, complete with its own budget, sales force and administrative staff. Manila operation was also upgraded; from its original one salesman, it was increased to six, divided into two groups - one team handling the sales and services of the industrial sector while the other, the trade sector. Its philosophy of complete customer satisfaction has motivated the company to require its sales and technical to undergo continuous training in order to hone the service and selling of its field force under the in-house training program. Because of its outstanding performance through the years, Olympus Marketing has been awarded various exclusive and/or authorized dealership of top caliber brands recognized worldwide. This is being used as countertop, kitchen countertop, table top, vanity top, claddings and many other innovative ideas. |
