About us | The main objective is to produce the quality product at the minimum cost by using the up-to-date machineries, skill workers, in-house training program and new technology to maximize the fish yield percentage as well as local raw material as many as possible in terms of buy local Baht against export in foreign currencies. Additionally, the factory is designed to cope up with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) according to Thai law which will be imposed during May, 2003 and also to pass HACCP (Hazard Accpeted Critical Control Points) ensuring of their standardization for export to EU and U.S. markets. On the other hand, the company is also aiming to apply for B.O.I. (Board of Investment) priviledge in order to obtain the additional advantage. At the end of the day, the company is confident to reserve the announcement as the best SMEs' factory. Thailand exports Canned Tuna Baht 18,700.00 million in 2000 and Baht 25,711.00 million in 2001 with more than 37.49% growth rate and maintaining at Baht 26,000.00 million in 2002 (source : Export Promotion Department, Ministry of Commerce, Thailand) The reason to set up the plant at Rayong province is due to the fact that there is no tuna cannery in the Eastern part of Thailand where is claimed as the largest supplying area for fresh tuna. Not only to get the right price by residing at the catching area but also to obtain the cheap labour cost of Baht 140.00 in comparison to Baht 163.00 per day in Samut Sakorn province (minimun wage per day). Indirectly, the transportation cost for raw material is also very cheap by being at spot. Moreover, the strong connection of Khun Ampun with tuna boat owners can conveniently assure of at least 30 days buffle stock of raw fish for normal requirement to ensure of the continuous daily production. Self-maintainance machines and the modernized machineries plus qualified engineer can minimize the idle time risk in terms of out of order. As earlier mentioned, the in-house training program can result to skilled workers in achieving the maximum clean loins percentage than waste. The habit of consumption has been rapidly changed for consumers whom prefer to consume the dietary products than pork or beef for health purpose. People are more care for their health and one has to admit that fish are quite popular because of low chloresterol. Canned Tuna is also considered as a commodity product which is basically good for health due to DHA for brain and low fat therefore demand of this item has been significantly increasing owing to low price but more nutritions for body. The market is always there so it is not a question of demand or how to sell the product. |
