| About us | As the sales of the Western Australia affiliate started to grow and in the same time, they collect more and more customer complaint, DDT then decided to establish its own manufacturing facility. The idea was studied in early June 1998, where many companies in Indonesia are slimming down their operations and new investments are totally out of question. DDT decided to invest by the end of August 1998 where the manufacturing facility is constructed in Terboyo Industrial Estate, Semarang, Central Java and all purchases were finalized by end of 1998. Construction began in early 1999 and DDT started testing its manufacturing facility as of July 1,1999. Among the facilities, Kiln Dryer gets the highest attention, as it will be the base of quality dependability. Other equipment are extremely basic, as DDT plan to maximize the production of " semi hand-made " products. The manufacturing facility is dedicated for Indoor type of products. Semarang was selected as the base of DDT manufacturing facility due to number of strategic consideration, I. E.: -Close to quality wood sources as basic raw material. -Close to quality Woodworker. -Having an export harbor. The kiln Dryer is prepared in four chambers, with basic approximate capacity per chamber is as much as 50 cubic meters of sawn timber and the chamber dimension is 700 * 600 * 450 cm. All our products are made of Air Dried Bangkirai/Yellow Balau/Red Balau/Selangan Batu no.1 located in Kalimantan. Yellow Balau is very prone to pin-holes. Therefore, we are not able to offer our products with free-pin-holes as balau are natural to have pin-holes. To improve our quality, we will make sure that our products have scattered pin-holes or non pin-holes. However, we can offer Red Balau with minimal of Pin-holes. |
