About us | During this time, the product line expanded to include pulleys and other conveyor related equipment. Today, precismeca manufactures in nisku Canada, saverne France, in Germany at leipzig and under licence in other countries. Before 1975, precismeca Germany and France supplied product to many North American customers such as great Canadian oil sands (now suncor), st. Lawrence cement company, iron ore company, and alwinsal potash (now p. C. S. Lanigan). In 1975, precismeca Canada began production in edmonton to supply all the initial idler requirements for the new syncrude tarsand mine in northern alberta. Operations were moved in 1979 to a new plant in nisku industrial park, near edmonton. To increase capacity and improve customer service, the plant size was doubled in 1996 and again expanded in 2003. In 2000, rulmeca group, a leading manufacturer of rollers/idlers and motorized pulleys based in bergamo, Italy acquired precismeca limited in Canada, Germany and France. As a result of the acquisition, precismeca limited had expanded the network of new customers across the globe. To increase capacity and improve customer service, the plant size was doubled in 2003. Precismeca limited, from nisku, now supplies replacement standard and custom designed conveyor idlers, motorized pulleys and structure to many customers and projects in North and south America. |
