Pickling and fermentation is one of the well known and easiest techniques, however suitable raw material use, timing and appropriate processing schedules are most important parameters for the quality of final products. Ran Tarimsal Entegre Tesisleri San ve Tic. A. S. Was established as a joint-venture company in Menemen-Izmir in 1993, in order to fulfill quality deficiencies in this sector. It is established in Aegean Region of Turkey, where highest quality raw materials are easily reached and where the exportation can easily be held. Founder of this company is Roland Theodor Ankele, who has a great experience in Canned and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable processing. All the team -from operations to sales- working in this facility has food engineering experience. Highest quality raw materials, which are provided from our contracted farmers, are processed into brines after sorting and grading by equipments and by seasonal workers. Daily controls are carried out on barrels in order to prevent spoilage and softening of products and top sensory notes are provided with malolactic fermentation. Dependent upon the final products specifications, fermented items are taken into processing lines, where excessive salt is removed and further sorting of items are conducted. Products are then placed into packages of any size and their final brine solution is filled in. Following exhaust and -if necessary pasteurization-, products are ready for labelling and palletizing. At every step of production, which affects the quality of products, laboratory controls are applied and with the approval of Quality Control department, products are positively released. Foundation purpose of this company is not only to carry out productions in pickling but also promote the farmers in cultivation of Asparagus, which is a very new item for Turkey, but a product with high consumption and high nutritional properties. Our equipments are fitted for processing of Asparagus and also special type of productions such as roasted pepper, grilled vegetables, gourmet foods, canned mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes in oil, antipastos have been carried out in the same facility. Rantar Export & Marketing Company was found in order to promote the export opportunities of Ran Tarimsal Entegre Tesisleri A. S. Besides that, it is the responsibility of Rantar to provide our valuable customers with other types of commodities, which are not the main items of Ran productions.
