About us | You don't need a head for science to understand the theory behind the rfactor. All it takes is having your heart in the right place. At least that's one of the lessons leo and etta jean ruhlman passed along to their nine children. And it's the legacy that inspired the theory behind the start up of ruhlman family farms, makers of the rfactor pepper blends. After losing their parents to cancer, their mother, etta jean, in 1997 and then their father, leo, in 1998, the nine siblings didn't want to lose the strong family ties that had strengthened with the losses. So, they preserved the fruits from leo's last labor - a backyard pepper garden - and the company was born. With mixtures created from nine different peppers, each representing one of the nine children, the initial idea grew into a family business. As such, the rfactor pepper blends are named for the ruhlman family and the powerful traits and factors leo and etta jean inspired in their children. Today, the business matters of ruhlman family farms continue to keep the siblings together - even though they are spread far and wide from their initial roots in rural nebraska. As always, the nine offspring continue to inspire their parents' love of music, family and food in their own children. And, they hope that their pepper blends inspire you to bring together your friends and family to put into practice your own theory of relativity. |
