| About us | The Group's manufacturing operations began in 1971 with the construction of a warp-knitting mill. Based on the success of the knitting mill and its increasing market. Shinta Group expanded further in 1974 with the addition of a circular knitting mill and a textile-processing house with dyeing, finishing and transfer printing capabilities. The Group entered into the synthetic yarn industry with the setting up of a yarn texturizing plant in 1976. Two years later SHINTA pioneered the manufacture of polyester POY at production speeds comparable with Japanese manufacturers. The yarn and fiber division was vertically integrated in 1986 with the construction of a polycondensation unit. The late 80's and early 90's were the major expansion years with the Group setting up a spinning mill, a nylon filament yarn plant and a weaving, dyeing, finishing & printing mill. In 1989 two joint ventures were established with the Daewoo Group of South Korea for the manufacture of knitted garments and sports & work shoes. At SHINTA we believe in steady and gradual growth which has been the business strategy of our founder and chairperson Mr. Toto Hermijanto. This belief is reflected in our growth over the past 33 years. Our strength has been the utilization of best available technology & machinery and a team of experienced and dedicated professionals. These inputs have given our products the quality and diversity which we take pride to share with our clients to make their businesses a success as we believe their success is our success. Over 10,000 strong-trained work force is our major driving force. The Group is continuously investing in training facilities keep its employees abreast with changing technology. A particular emphasis is given to quality management and control techniques. Besides providing the employees with housing and other amenities, sports and recreational activities are regularly organized for their physical and spiritual well being. |
