Stamford Tyres International Pte Ltd
About us | Since the early 1970s, we have been working with the Ohtsu Tire and Rubber Co. Ltd, now part of Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd. During the same period, a partnership was forged with Continental AG, a leading tyre manufacturer in Germany. In addition, we also work with Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd in Japan. These partnerships complement each other and provide us with the full range of tyres for our business. Our excellent relationships with these partners were reaffirmed when we were given wider geographical markets to represent their brands. Our distribution network covers mainly South East Asia, North Asia and Latin America. We distribute to more than 30 countries through our subsidiaries in nine countries, including our new arm in Australia. Through the growth of our distribution network and branding strategy, we intend to stay focused on our core business of tyre and wheels distribution. Together with our major suppliers, we will continuously introduce new products to cater to the different and changing lifestyles of our customers in various markets. Stamford Tyres is currently expanding into the wheel manufacturing business. To attain our goal of providing trendy, light-weight and high-strength wheels at reasonable prices for our customers and contract designers, we have a new wheel manufacturing plant in Thailand To deliver the best product possible, we have joined forces with the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), a research institute of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), to draw upon their knowledge in advanced metal-forming technologies. The Group plans to invest approximately S$7.5 million to set up the aluminium alloy wheel factory. The factory will be equipped with the latest tilting gravity casting technology. These alloy wheels offer an outstanding balance of aesthetics and performance tailored for passenger cars and SUVs. Ranging in sizes from 13 inches to 20 inches in a wide variety of designs, SSW are manufactured by our wheel plant in Thailand under stringent quality control. We aim to achieve initial start-up production capacity of 200,000 wheels per year and plan to increase the capacity to 400,000 wheels per year. |
