| About us | "TAPOS" company was founded in 1971, as a workshop for manufacturing and upholstering furniture, and in 1990, it was transformed into private company which is a factory for manufacturing furniture. There are around 100 employees working at "TAPOS" nowadays: Engineers, designers, woodworkers, carpenters, tailors, upholsters. At the 3 hectares space there are sections of the factory on 6 000 square meters, with the newest models of machines and equipment for furniture manufacturing, imported from Italy and Germany. During the logical technological chain of production, the basic woodwork is done, and the wood is later used in the further furniture production. Daily capacity of "TAPOS" is, at the moment, one hundred soft-chairs or beds. As the structure for the furniture, wood and sponge are used from domestic sources, while the semi-finished parts, textiles and leather are imported from South America and Europe, but mostly from Italy. "TAPOS" is, nowadays, a closed system, in which the furniture is designed and modeled, manufactured and sold through its own objects in Belgrade and Obrenovac, as well as through large line of subsidiaries and distributors. In association with Italian and Dutch partners, the concept of the export program has been made which is mainly based on furniture upholstered by leather, of top quality, it is mostly exported on Italian, Dutch, former Yugoslav territories markets, but negotiations for exporting on German, Greek and Russian markets are currently going on. |
