| About us | 1.1 Formation Union Paper Holding PLC was established in July,2005 witih a totoal initial capital investment of USD 750,000 all paid up in cash. Then, it got a principal certificate from the Ministry of Trade and Industry having duly been principally registered under registration certificate 02/2/3116/98 1.2 Form of ownership The company is privately owned having its ownership divided into 1500shares of stocks where each has a stated price of USD 500. The company has got its fixed establishment in Addis ababa, the capital of Ethiopia and Africa as well. 1.3 Management The overall operation of the company is LED, administered and ran by the General manager (GM). Down in the ladder of the company's organizational hierarchy, the GM is placed immediately below the Board of the Directors. The general share holders' meeting, placed at the top of the hierarchy above the Board, is the highest decision making body. 1.4 Types of activities The company exclusively focuses on paper and paper products. Primarily, it involves in importing numereousely various kinds of paper and paper products from overseas market and distibuting them to wholsaling as well as retailing businesses and major final consumers that are available in the East Africa which has a potentially vast but unexploited market for papers. 2.
