Universal computer technologies was founded by mr. Sisira jayawardana and mr. Upul abeysiriwardana who were engineering undergraduates (electrical & computer) of university of moratuwa in year 2001. In that time there was a potential market for computers, computer accessories, cds and computer print outs etc. Universal computer technologies correctly identified the upcoming market trends and requirements of the students of university of moratuwa as the founders were students themselves. After completing two successful business years universal computer technologies was registered as a private liability company in year 2003.
