IDS uses enhanced WDS (Previous Dealer Tool) software that was modified to run on a standard laptop platform, and utilizes a VCM (Vehicle Communication Module) and 16 pin cable to connect to vehicles. Moving to a laptop platform has greatly speeded up the performance of the Tool, and has made this OEM Equipment affordable for all.
Full Dealer capability including reflashing and configuration of ECU control units.
