Physical Character: Metformin hydrochloride is a kind of hypoglycemic drugs, is enhanced in patients with type 2 diabetes blood glucose tolerance, reduced basal and postprandial glucose effect. The mechanism of action of metformin hydrochloride: reduced glycogen production, lower bowel on sugar absorption, and can be achieved by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization and improve insulin sensitivity, metformin hydrochloride on patients with type 2 diabetes or normal glucose patients produce hypoglycemia. Metformin hydrochloride after treatment, insulin secretion remained unchanged, but lower fasting insulin level and daily plasma insulin level.
