Our SiC product for metallurgy is obtained by processing high quality SiC bulks which produced by smelting high purity petroleum coke and silica sand in large resistance furnace.
When used as inoculant or deoxidizer, it reveals excellent performances, such as improving the microstructure of metals, enhancing machinability, improving mechanical properties, reduces oxides of Fe and Mn in the slag leading to increased refractory service life, increased melt temperature facilitating better thin wall castings.
Available Size:
0-5 mm, 0-10 mm, 0-50 mm.
Applications:
Used as an alloying additive for introducing silicon and carbon into gray cast iron, ductile iron and steel melts.
Typical Chemical Analysis:
SiC: 88.20%;
Total Si: 5.30%;
Fe2O3: < 2.50%;
Free-C: 4.10%.
