These devices are used to connect other components in various kinds of electronic gear such as laptop computers, cell phones, PDAs, and handheld bar-code scanners. Directly and through contract manufacturers, Motorola accounts for nearly three-quarters of Multi-Fineline's sales. Other customers of the company, which was founded in 1984, include Symbol Technologies, palmOne, Philips, and Research In Motion. Holding company WBL Corporation owns 81% of Multi-Fineline Electronix. |
