The company is also the largest manufacturer of greases in India with a production share of about 55%. The company has 5 manufacturing facilities with a combined manufacturing capacity of 80,000 MTPA of greases. Three of these facilities are ISO 9002 certified.

Globally the company is also among the top ten grease manufacturers and exports significant quantities to other countries. The company has made substantial investments in Research & Development with the Applications Research Laboratory (ARL) at Kolkata boasting world class R&D capabilities.

Because of the technological superiority of its infrastructure, the company is the largest preferred contract processor for oil companies in the country. Besides doing contract processing, the company also manufactures nearly 200 high performance value added products under its brand name BALMEROL.
