| About us | The company has several exploitation licenses 240 km north of Bogota, allowing our company to exploit low, mid and high volatile metallurgical coals, as well as steam coal. FACILITIES: * Our coking plant has a coke production of 2000 mt/month, and a projected production of 5000 mt/month in 3 years. Coke characteristics: Ashes: 8-11% Sulphur: 0.9% Volatile material: 1-2% Micum 40: 75 Fixed Carbon: 84-89% * Our high volatile and steam coal mine has an area of 2 million metric tons proven reserves of clean metallurgical high volatile coal and steam coal, in a 280 hec surface. Coal Characteristics: Ashes: 10% Sulphur: 1.1% Volatile material: 34% FSI: 6 Moisture: 3.5 Calorific heat: 7200 cal/gr * Our low and mid volatile metallurgical coal mine has a mining area of 3.5 million proven metric tons reserves of low and mid volatile metallurgical coal, in a 480 hec surface. Coal Characteristics: Ashes: 9% Sulphur: 0.9% Volatile material: 22-30% FSI: 6 Moisture: 3 Calorific heat: 7500 cal/gr ENVIRONMENT: The mining areas are environmentally licensed and authorized and the mining activity is signed under the mining registry in the local regulatory agency. The company follows up all the standards imposed by the national government to this exploitation. The coking plants are built under the environmental standards and conditions imposed by the local authority to watch for the region environmental conditions. PRODUCTION: * COKE The current and projected coke MONTLY production is: Year 2005: 2000 ton Year 2006: 6000 ton Year 2007: 10000 ton * COAL The current and projected coal MONTLY production is: Year 2005: 5000 ton Year 2006: 10000 ton Year 2007: 40000 ton FUTURE FACILITIES: ANDINA Ltd is currently involved into a coal washing plant construction project, to reduce ashes content on coal to 8% and sulphur content to 0,9 to 1,1%. In this manner, using this coal washing plant, we pretend to achieve the coke and coal production projected to 2006 and 2007 on a high quality basis. |
