Aravind Laboratories

Aravind Laboratories is the flagship of the EYETEX Group of Companies. It is India's largest manufacturer of Kanmye, (Kajal), Kumkum, Eyeliner, Eyebrow pencils and other religious cosmetic products.

In 1958, the business was acquired by the current promoter's family headed by the chairman of the Group Late Sri A. V. Srinivasan. Under his able leadership, the Company expanded considerably by introducing various Kumkum preparations such as Liquid Kumkum, Kumkum paste, Kumkum powder, Sticker Kumkum, Multi-color Kumkum liquid, Eyebrow & Kumkum Pencil, Eyeliner liquid etc. All under the brand name - EYETEX.

During the past four decades, the business has grown to a large proportion.75 million pieces of 17 different products of Kanmye, Kumkum, eyebrow pencils, eyeliners etc. Are being sold during the year 2000/'01.. Besides a state-of-the-art factory spread over 30,000 sq. Ft. The Company also boasts of a wide and far reaching distribution network of over 350 distributors spread across 14 major States.

The Company also exports its products to several countries where the Hindu ethnic group stay.

Today, the brand Eyetex has a great reputation and the brand equity is such that it is a legend in the homes of many millions all over India.
