In 1990, TREFO S.A. has been reorganized as a joint stock company and since 1998 as result of the privatization process, become a company with majority private capital.
Along time, the company has strongly developed, permanently improving the technical endowment, in order to offer the best quality products for its clients.
Thanks to the knowledge and experience, gather during the years, the quality of products manufactured by the TREFO S.A. meet the toughest romanian and foreign standards, including: DIN, ASTM, JIS, ISO and also, the anchor chains meet the requirements of the important International Shipping Registers such as: RNR, ABS, LRS, DNV, GL, BV.The company will be certified in short time, with TUV Suddeutschland, according to DIN ISO 9002.
At present, TREFO S.A. has become an important factory of Romanian metallurgy, the only producer of anchor chain from country, having a considerable internal market and exports into 40 countries worldwide.
TREFO S.A. has been involved in the manufacture and sale of wires, nails and anchor chains since 1955. The production facilities are located in Galati, an important city from Romania and a big port on the Danube.
