| About us | Pappy Vaidyan, as he was belovedly known completed his ayurvedic training from a leading Gurukula in Kerala, had set out on this venture with the vision of alleviating the pain and misery of society through Ayurveda. True to his underlying vision, right from it’s inception, the pharmacy had always adhered to manufacturing the best quality of medicines, which had been the cornerstone of its success in the following decades. The subsequent decades had been epoch making for the company, as the popularity of its products spread far and wide. The products of ‘S.G.A. Pharmacy’ won many prestigious awards for quality and the name soon became synonymous to the superior standards of quality upheld by it. In 1951, Bipha Drug Laboratories as it later became known, set up its first commercial scale manufacturing plant at Ettumanoor Industrial Estate in Kerala, with most modern equipments and analytical facilities. In the same year, the Company diversified into manufacture of Generic formulations. An advanced tabletting facility has also been set up as part of this facility to expand the range of products. As with its success in Ayurvedic Division, this diversification became the second consecutive success story for Bipha. Bipha soon got identified as a leading manufacturer of quality healthcare products. But never had success ever been a hindrance to innovations and enterprise in the Company that in 1971, it became one of India’s first manufacturer of Ayurvedic tablet formulations. The path breaking development of its first Ayurvedic tablet formulation had set new standards of drug delivery in Ayurveda. The discovery of its first tablet formulation inspired it to focus on the development of newer, safer and effective tablet formulations. Through its persistant efforts, the company had developed over 40 tablet formulations since its first break through. The products won tremendous support from the Ayurvedic fraternity in India for its safety, efficacy and quality. Today, we are ever the more committed in our effort to develop newer, safer, and effective therapies for various regenerative diseases that cripple mankind.
