Cagayan Valley Industries
About us | It was in the year 1986, that a big changed happened in the life of mr. Gabriel b. Duyor jr. This was the time when a new opportunity came about. The doors to a brighter future opened his way. Cagayan valley industries was born! Cvi is a manufacturer of dried materials. It converts forest wastes into useful, finished, refined floral and other decorative accessories. All the raw materials in the company undergo drying and dyeing process. Drying process is the first step in creating an item; lasting for 48 hours. The company at this point uses a 400,000-peso worth of drier built using japanese technology. The fuel used here is 50% cheaper to identical dryer utilizing electricity. But there are times and selected products are being dried naturally, sun-dried. This said dryer could hold the equivalent of 40-foot container per week. There are two stages of drying first is cleaning and then the bleaching. Bleaching generally last for 12 hours and chemicals that are being used are gentle not like the usual bleaching agent. The next process is the dyeing. This process is very vital in the distinction of the product. This actually distinguishes one from the other. The company uses imported kinds of dyeing material. The reason why the owner chose to use an imported dye, because he believes that it produces a supreme rate of color, not like the locally made dyes. In fact one spoonful imported dye is equivalent to four spoonfuls of locally made dye in this method, there are two factors that should always be considered, the hardness and softness of the item and, the shade of color. The nature of the material serves as the basis of dyeing. After undergoing these processes and the finishing designs, the items are now ready to be distributed and sold in the market. Until 1989, the owner started to attend trade shows and began to gain foreign clients. So mr. Gabriel b. Duyor jr. Decided to discontinue marketing their products locally and concentrated internationally. It is for this reason that he believes that there is more and better opportunity in the international world of business. Like any other companies, cvi basically started from scratch. Mr. Duyor jr. Only owned a 4x5 sq. M. Office in cubao, quezon city, with a telephone, a typewriter, and with a few employees helping out, having only one local client supporting it. despite of this, the owner never gave up, he faced all the struggles and difficulties that came his way---nothing can bring him down! He is a man with a vision. Being altruistic, hard working, courageous and self-determined was the secret to the success of his business. Now cagayan valley industries is considered as one of the best exporting companies in the philippines. While the owner, mr. Gabriel b. Duyor jr. Has received several awards and recognitions due to his artistic quality and creative talent in producing crafts. The new workplace is currently located at #172 narra st. Marikina heights, marikina city, philippines. It was expanded into 975 sq. M, the place having three parts---the office, the factory and a showroom. Another good thing is that the company is now composed of twenty regular workers, daily contractual and piece workers. In addition to that, the firm at present possesses two accessible warehouses, located in east drive st. Marikina city and, in villa grande subd, antipolo city And as the saying goes be ready to start low, but aim high. |
