China Petroleum Logging and Logistics (CPLL)

China Petroleum Logging and Logistics (CPLL) is a subsidiary under China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) to manage and supervise all domestic land and abroad oil logging operations. CPLL is an independent oil logging and supply company, producer and supplier, as well as one of the Holding companies of CNPC, We have reached a diversified range in petroleum group, a major oilfield service providers and a globally reputed contractor in engineering construction. With a presence in many international companies, we are seeking an even greater international role.

On September 10, 1995, China Petroleum Logging and Logistics was registered to become an integrated subsidiary and a Holding Company with CNPC, covering oil well logging and gas upstream and downstream operations, as well as oilfield services, supply, logistics and engineering construction.

It includes International Business Department and Domestic Business Department. Among the two departments, the International business department which consists of Project/Technical management, Commercial import/export, Financial management, Procurement. management, Production management, QA/QC management and Logistics management offices is mainly in charge of the business/cooperation with foreign companies both at home and abroad, including bidding, contracting and/or subcontracting of oil well logging projects, technical - consultation, exchange and services, materials supplies & Procurement and transportation. Under its administration are 35 logging Crews' and some technical service companies. With the strongly comprehensive abilities, China Petroleum Logging and Logistics is fully capable of providing the services of location construction, logging operation, workover, well testing, tubular, logging tools, fishing, well control, logging fluids and logging fluid additives, cementing, API cement and cementing chemicals, transportation, logistic supporting and other petroleum logging services such as coring, mud logging, wireline logging, directional logging, and etc.

CPLL staffs a large number of experts and technical professionals with rich experiences in aspects of logging engineering, oilfield chemistry and machinery. More than 2,000 technical professionals were ever sent to foreign- countries of such as the USA, U.K, France, Germany, Canada, Kuwait, India, Singapore, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Sudan, Russia, Papua New Guinea, etc. Now, there are many young talents who obtained both on-site operation experiences and foreign language skills to meet the requirements of the international operations.

As a member of International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IAOGP), CPLL has gained much experiences in cooperation with and providing services for foreign companies. Since early in 1995, with the development of oil and gas exploration of China, it started cooperating over logging technologies and operations on mainland China with many major western specialized petroleum companies such as Amoco in Anhui Province, Petrocorp New Zealand in Hunan province, Enron in Shanxi province and Shell in Jiangsu province, Esso Upstream limited in Tarim Basin, Agip (Overseas) Ltd. also in Tarim Basin of Xinjiang province, etc. In additional to the domestic operations in China, CPLL has participated in overseas projects in Thailand, Peru, Iraq, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan, Sudan, Canada, Egypt. Through logging project bidding, technical training, technical exchange and visits, CPLL has established good cooperative relationship with many foreign companies.

In anticipation of the future projects in both Chinese and international markets, CPLL began import Western logging equipment in the mid-90's. We have the 50 rigs which choose from more than 200 rigs. We targeted logging equipment with operating capacities from 1500 to 6000 meters to insure the success of any logging projects.
