In April 2001, Zongshen Group built up a joint-venture with American Briggs & Stratton Company: Chongqing Zongshen Briggs & Stratton Motorcycle Engine Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 114.8 million USD, sitrated in Zongshen industrial Park in Chongqing. Zongshen Motorcycle Racing Team is the only Chinese team that has attended the world race. Since 2000, it has been selected as one of the ' Top Ten Teams' of the world.
