Company Profile

Fast Track was formed in late 2002 after its founders, Norman Stewart and Alvin Pirtle, saw a need in the child transportation field for more safety. Seeing numerous incidents of children being left in daycare vans and buses with tragic consequences they developed the Exit Tracker Alarm. Starting from their home offices in Palm Coast, FL and Jackson, TN they first supplied their products to local daycare providers. Our company was also featured in the Orlando Sentinel the Orlando, Florida's newspaper. The article read. A device designed for day-care vans by Norman Stewart, an electronics technician from Palm Coast, requires adults to leave the keys in the ignition until children are safely out of the car. Otherwise, an alarm sounds.

Stewart's device operates with a weight sensor similar to NASA's, but is stitched into a Naugahyde seat cover and wired to the vehicle's fuse box.

The Exit Tracker Alarm will retail at about $400 for a day-care van with four bench seats, Stewart said. It can also be adapted for car seats. His patent is pending, but Stewart and his wife, Angela, already are producing the device and have begun telling agencies about their product.
