Miglia Technology Ltd

Founded in May 2001 by Simon Ellson and Eric Ferraz, two veterans of the Mac industry, Miglia started by acquiring the Intellectual Property for Director's Cut from PowerR INC, continued the development of the Director's Cut and launched the Director's Cut Take 2 in early 2002.

In late 2001, Miglia also launched the first aluminium dual hard drive case, this was the first major use of aluminium within our industry, even beating Apple to the post!

Reflecting this growth, we moved to larger offices in 2003 and also moved our PCB assembly and testing offshore to Asia. As well as outsourcing PCB assembly, Miglia now uses both UK and Asian production facility to assemble our innovative aluminium casings.

In 2003, with a distribution network that already covered the globe, we launched 5 new products in the video, expansion and storage space and began selling through retail outlets. Consequently the Company has consistently doubled its sales volume turnover each year to date.

Miglia's product range and technology innovation is being recognised by leading industry media and pundits. In 2004, Miglia was awarded a SMART award from the Government Department of Trade and Industry for outstanding innovation, a nomination and win within this year's Macworld magazine awards and key Miglia products being sold within Apple's online and retail Stores.

During the last year, we have focussed efforts on a range of award winning TV Tuner products, in particular TVMini and EvolutionTV have been accepted and recognised as ground breaking products for both Analogue and DTT reception.2006 heralds more innovation in more markets in more categories, we look forward to working with you.
