Hutterite colony's usually consist of 100-120 people. They live communally, and farm approx 5000 acres/colony. Each colony is quite diversified with large scale commercial production of pork, beef, dairy, and poultry. Also, many colony's have manufacturing facility's for metal/machinery, wood/furniture, and leather goods. There are about 450 colony's through out North America. Most are located in Western Canada. |
