Company Profile
10 cents per ton: Opportunity
A family owned site of high purity silica in brisco British Columbia Canada. A 6 year old Company ready to harvest silica mineral, Investors or purchaser required.
Joint ventures or partners are required as the company is very small and would like a direct distributor or purchaser prior to crushing.
Site Location
Site and quarry are located 20 miles North from Radium BC, one mile North of the Brisco store. A railway station is located less than one mile North and the highway is an all weather road North to Golden British Columbia and is also a main truck route.
Site Size And Legal Description
4.3 acres more or less of mineral rights and land ownership. Legal description being, lot 1, plan 5341,
District lot 10543.
Geology
The area was first mapped by McConnell in 1886, then later by Allan in 1914, and by Dr. Walcott in 1924 who applies the name Wonah Quartzite to a fine grain white quartzite seen In his Sinclair Canyon section. The area was mapped in greater detail by C. S. Evan's in 1925,1926 and 1927.
The Wonah Quartzite conformably and gradationally overlies the Glenogle Shale and underlies the Beaverfoot Brisco. The formations are folded and faulted, striking a few degrees west of North and Dipping nearly vertically on the western limb of the syncline.
The formation ranges in thickness from 9 meters at the southern end of the Brisco Range 16 Kilometers to the south, to 60 meters at the eastern part of the Brisco Range, to 10 kilometers to the
East, to over 300 meters at Harrogate 16 kilometers North.
The quarry face, as well as the outcrops, exhibited a wide range of rock character from massive Competent, to partly fractured, to intensely fractured, to nearly friable.
Exposures at Luxor 'Creek,1 0 Kilometers south, show nearly vertical beds. This is consistent with the limited outcrop exposures on the property where one slicken-sided surface dipped approximately 70 degrees to the west.
Reserves
The thickness of the quartzite is estimated from field observation and regional geology to be about 122 meters, of which one-half can reasonably be regarded as proved.
Total Reserves
Reserves above the elevation of the highway are estimated to be one million two hundred and seventy eight thousand tons, of which 1/2 are proven. Additional unproven reserves of 34,400 tons per meter of depth below the highway level are also available but at increased costs.
Mineral rights have been acquired on the adjoining property to the North. Quartzite deposits appears to extend to at least a portion of the property.
Sample Analysis Randomly picked samples from the quarry by a government geologist:
Sio2 98.66%
A[2o3 0.47%
Fe2o3 0.06%
Cao 0.08% Personal visit by Geologist:
The quartzite outcrops were examined measured and 16 samples were taken. Following microscopic Examination, six of the samples were combined into three samples for a representative mineral assay By Loring Laboratories Ltd. The assays varied from 97.34% and 97-00% Sio2 in the south portion of the ore body to 94.3% Sio2 at the northern end (off the subject claim) of the outcrops where the quartzite was visibly less pure. These assay confirm previous values of chip assays at the quarry face Of 98.14% and 98.71% Sio2.
Valuation
The value is determined by the end use, less the cost of production and transportation.
