Smtcl, is the largest machine tool manufacturer in china, an national extra-large-sized enterprise and one of 100 national experimental units of modern enterprise system as well as one of 520 national emphasized enterprises. The annual turnover, total industry production value and the output as well as sales of CNC machines are all in the primary in the same industry. The quality, variety and export capacity are all staying on the top position in domestic market, the main leading products are divided into two types which are CNC machines and conventional machines with total 300 kinds and thousands models. We actualized the business units in smtcl, the subsidiaries such as shenyang no.1 machine tool works, china-czech friendship works, china-czech radial arm drilling machine works are the biggest manufacturers of lathes, boring machines and drilling machines respectively in china. Liaoning precision apparatus works is the CNC system production site appointed by national government. National special research institutes for lathe, boring machine and drilling machine industries are located at smtcl. During the national 9th five-year plan, smtcl executed a large-scale reform, reorganization and renovation with the loan of world bank of 121 million us dollar, this took the level of our production and technology equipment into the pioneer position in domestic same industries. More than 10 kinds of CNC machines such as high speed horizontal machining center, laser cutting machine and CNC vertical lathe, all of which were introduced and manufactured under technical import, cooperation and associated design. And now smtcl has owned the capacity of batch production of CNC machines. At present, CNC products have been applying into the high science and technology industries such as automobile, aviation and airspace, military, petroleum as well as electronic information. We have founded technology center with national grade and development institute for CNC products, by which we develop and research the CNC lathes, turning centers, vertical machining centers, CNC milling and boring machines, CNC systems and special CNC machines. Nowadays, smtcl is fulfilling the great three development strategies, i. E. Establishing the developing and manufacturing base of CNC machines in china, global marketing and system creation, and increasing the possession of CNC machines in domestic market as well as enlarging the export of conventional machines. Once we had finished the projects of reconstruction by utilizing the loan of world bank, we would have possessed the annual output by 20% of CNC machines in domestic market and become the largest CNC developing and manufacturing base in china.
