The Teeuwissen Group is an internationally operating Dutch company specialised in the production, collection, freezing, packaging and trading of slaughtering by-products, offals and casings for both edible and inedible uses.

Our Activities... Since the beginning of the 70's the Teeuwissen group has grown out to one of the largest in Europe specializing in beef, veal, pork, lamb, mutton, poultry and game meat and meat by-products. Our activities can be described as:

Producing, collecting, freezing or conserving, packing and trading.

We offer a complete range of meat, animal by-products and slaughtering offals designed to meet customer requirements for both edible and inedible uses. Our main markets can be summarized as:

To assure our customers a continuous supply even in times of trading barriers, outbreaks of animal diseases etc., Teeuwissen is working hard to have establishments and joint ventures all over Europe and the world. At this moment we are active in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, China (HK), North and South America.

Because we have our own coldstore (Vrieshuis Haven Cuijk, EEC# 644 and Coldstores Nijmegen, EEC# 397) we are able to deliver metal detected plate-, block-, or tunnel frozen products in different sizes and packages. Strategical storage enables us to deliver even when the products elsewhere on the market are thight.

In the Netherlands we have Teeuwissen Products BV daily collecting fresh products from various slaughtering houses in Holland, Germany and Belgium. Here we have the material of 250.000 pigs and 10.000 beef on a weekly base. By making high demands on the production of animal by-products in our own gut-rooms, with instant freezing or conserving of fresh products, we can offer consistent quality goods that meet the specifications and requirements of our world wide clients.

Besides the meat-by-products we have founded in Holland a company specialized in natural and artificial casings: Topcasings BV . The original casings produced in our gut rooms are sorted and selected in countries, specialized in this kind of work and they are traded by this company. Apart of the selection of our own raw material we import all kinds of natural and artificial casings.

Cain Company BV , based in Holland, born out a joint venture between Teeuwissen and the Italia Salumi Group and Shineway from China, is an internationally operating meat purchase and trading company.

In Spain we are running the same operation as Teeuwissen Products BV in the Netherlands. Our joined venture Ruiz-Teeuwissen S.L. collects fresh products from Spanish slaughtering houses to process and freeze them in our cold stores there (EEC # 10.0014976/J ). Product capacity in Spain is in total 200.000 pigs and 10.000 beef on a weekly base.

In Italy Byproducts Italia S.R.L. is concentrating on casings and by-products for the Italian market.

In North America we have founded Biotee USA Inc . This company is buying fresh and frozen material from all main slaughtering houses. In York, Nebraska we have our processing facility and cold store (York Cold store Inc.). Products we are collecting and producing over there find their way to customers all over the world.

We have been active in South America for over 25 years, Teeuwissen Mercosul Ltda. is taking care of our interest in that area.

Due to strong relationships with several very modern and innovative local cooperations we are able to deliver high quality poultry and beef products on a consistent base.

Teeuwissen Asia Ltd. based in Hong Kong and responsible for the Asian market has been successful over the past years and acts as a proof that having an office in the region is the best way to cooperate with our customers and to provide optimal service.
